| Back To Index | Warpzone is my attempt at saving the original Scourge MAP31.
After the reviews it got from the ZDoom forum goers, I decided to follow their advice and replace it, and touch up some aspects of Scourge whilst I was at it. However, the map wasn't actually beyond repair, or thats the general message I was getting. Now, after much delay and work, with several attempts at spriting the boss monster, I have finally finished. This map boasts over one thousand monsters, over an hours playtime, one new boss monster (Ignis Locus), a new music track by Tom Docherty (TomD666) and much more. Battle your way through the four seperately themed areas, eventually untwisting the fabric of reality to allow you to escape the four floating land masses. With very high detail, a guidance system and a lot more besides, this map promises to have something for everyone. Large battles, jumping puzzles, a big switch hunt and the boss all stand between you and your objective. The only way though is all the way through and it's up to you how you fancy gonig about it. The guidance system tells you where the next available objective is (usually a key or a switch), but due to the non-linear nature of this map, you can throw all that out of the window. You may even find an easier route than the one suggested, or a quicker one. It's up to you to wipe the map clean and get out, afterall. |
